Eyecon Has Variable RTP Tiers: The Fixed-RTP Myth Is Dead

    Published: Apr 24, 2026 · 7 min read

This analysis uses verified deployment data from the

Every affiliate guide about Eyecon says the same thing: Eyecon does not offer variable RTP tiers. SlotsTemple wrote it. CasinoHowTo repeated it. ProfessorSlot listed Fluffy Favourites at 95.39% with no hint of alternatives. They are all wrong — and Eyecon's own website proves it.

Eyecon now lists dual RTPs on its own site

Eyecon.com now lists dual RTP values on game cards for their biggest titles. Fluffy Favourites: 95% or 93%. Fluffy Too: 95% or 93%. Fluffy Favourites Fairground: 95% or 93%. Shaman's Dream: 93% or 95%. These are not rounding differences. These are two distinct math models available for operator selection.

No press release announced this. No industry publication covered it. The change almost certainly traces to Playtech's acquisition of Eyecon in October 2017 for approximately £50 million — a date frequently misreported as 2021. Playtech has systematically rolled out configurable multi-tier RTPs across its portfolio, and Eyecon's classics were eventually brought into the same framework. The transition happened quietly, and the affiliate industry has not caught up.

MrQ deploys Eyecon classics at the low tier

MrQ is the first UK operator where we can verify which tier is deployed. The results are striking. Fluffy Favourites at MrQ runs at 93.29% — not the 95.39% theoretical that every review quotes. Shaman's Dream at MrQ runs at 93.26% against a theoretical of 95.44%. These are the two most-played Eyecon slots in UK bingo and casino history, and MrQ is serving them at the low tier.

Selective: classics reduced, derivatives at maximum

The pattern at MrQ is selective. Classic flagship titles get the low tier. Remasters and sequels get the high tier. Fluffy Favourites Remastered runs at 95.38% — theoretical. Fluffy Too runs at 95.38% — theoretical. Fluffy Favourites LuckyTap runs at 95%. Temple of Iris runs at 95.44%. Irish Luck runs at 95.047%. The operator has split its Eyecon deployment: originals reduced, derivatives at maximum.

This adds to the MrQ provider-selective pattern we documented previously. MrQ runs Play'n GO at theoretical, Pragmatic flagships at 94%, Hacksaw at 94%, and now Eyecon classics at 93%. The claim that every slot runs at the highest available RTP is contradicted across four provider groups.

    Cross-casino verification

Cross-casino verification confirms the tiers are live at multiple operators. Sugar Train — the original anomaly that triggered this investigation — shows 94.97% at MrQ, 95.07% at Heart Bingo, and 95.00% at Mecca Bingo. The spread is narrow enough that it may reflect build-version rounding rather than deliberate tiering. But Fluffy Favourites and Shaman's Dream show a clear 2+ percentage point gap that can only be a deliberate math model swap.

Jackpot variants tell an even starker story

The jackpot variants tell an even starker story. Fluffy Favourites Megaways Jackpot at MrQ runs at 91.5%. Fluffy Favourites Jackpot at Paddy Power runs at 89.99%. Sugar Train Progressive at Mecca Bingo runs at 90.08%. Progressive jackpot contributions are siphoning 4-5 percentage points from base RTP — a pattern identical to the Blueprint Jackpot King tax we documented in a separate investigation.

    Reclassification

RTPTrack is reclassifying Eyecon from "All Fixed RTP" to "Variable — Dual Tier" effective immediately. The industry characterisation of Eyecon as a fixed-RTP studio is demonstrably stale. Any slot review or casino guide that quotes 95.39% for Fluffy Favourites without noting the 93% tier is now publishing misleading information.

For players, the practical advice is simple: check which Eyecon build your casino deploys. If you play Fluffy Favourites at MrQ, you are playing at 93.29%. If you play the Remastered version at the same casino, you are playing at 95.38%. Same brand, same reels, different maths. The difference costs approximately £21 per 1,000 spins at £1 stakes.
