In June 2025, BTG's own press release for TapCards openly marketed 'flexible RTP ranges from 86.46% to 96.45%.'

The legacy catalogue remains single-build — Bonanza (96.00%), Extra Chilli (96.41%), White Rabbit (97.72%), Kingmaker (96.65%), and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Megaways (96.27%) all retain their original fixed configurations. Evolution deserves credit for not retrofitting variable tiers onto these classics. But the reversal on new IP is complete.

BTG invented the Megaways mechanic, which uses variable reel heights to produce up to 117,649 ways to win on a six-reel grid. The mechanic launched on Bonanza in 2016 and became one of the most-licensed engines in the industry — Pragmatic Play, Blueprint, Red Tiger, iSoftBet, and many others have built Megaways titles under licence. The licensing programme remains intact under Evolution ownership and continues to generate revenue across the industry.

BTG's own Megaways flagships sit at the high end of the RTP range for the mechanic. White Rabbit's 97.72% theoretical RTP is exceptional for a high-volatility Megaways title. Bonanza's 96.00% is competitive. The combination of high RTP, distinctive mathematical models, and proven longevity makes the legacy BTG catalogue one of the strongest single-build RTP propositions available to UK players in 2026.
