Bet365 Has Started Reducing Slot RTPs: The March 2026 Evidence

Bet365 has been the consensus recommendation for RTP-conscious UK slot players since at least 2019. Every affiliate list ranks it first. Every forum thread recommends it. RTPTrack ranked it Tier 1. The problem: none of us had verified deployment data. We ranked Bet365 on reputation, not evidence. That changes today.

Bet365's own Gaming Rules page states plainly that it reserves the right to amend the RTP of any game at any time, with the current RTP for each game found within the game itself. That is not a boilerplate disclaimer. As of March 2026, the right is being exercised.

The first public evidence of reductions

A CoinWind forum thread dated 22 March 2026 contains the first public evidence of Bet365 deploying reduced RTPs. A player reports checking in-game info panels and finding Peter & Sons titles running at 94% against a theoretical maximum of 96.1%. Wazdan and Spinomenal titles were also reported below theoretical. A second user corroborates, specifying that Pragmatic Play and other major providers still appear to be on maximum at Bet365. A third user adds that Bet365 has been rolling out lower RTPs for several months but retains the majority of games on higher tiers.

The same provider-selective pattern as MrQ

The pattern emerging at Bet365 mirrors what we documented at MrQ: provider-selective deployment. Major commercial providers — Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, NetEnt, Push Gaming — reportedly remain at theoretical. Smaller studios — Peter & Sons, Wazdan, Spinomenal — are being quietly reduced. The difference is scale: MrQ's reductions are on high-traffic Pragmatic flagships. Bet365's reductions appear to start with lower-profile providers where fewer players will notice.

What this means for the high-traffic slots

What does this mean for the five highest-traffic slots UK players search for at Bet365? Book of Dead (96.21%), Starburst (96.09%), Gates of Olympus (96.50%), Big Bass Bonanza (96.71%), and Sweet Bonanza (96.48%) are all reported at theoretical by affiliate reviewers. But not one of those affiliate figures comes from a verified in-game check. They all quote provider spec sheets. The only credible in-game verification for Bet365 remains a 2019 forum post confirming Book of Dead at 96%+ — seven years old.

    Reclassification

RTPTrack is reclassifying Bet365 from "Verified Theoretical" to "Likely Theoretical — Pending Verification." The five priority slots probably still run at top tier. But Bet365 has crossed the Rubicon. The reduction pattern is active, spreading provider by provider, and no public data source can confirm deployed RTPs without logging in and checking the info panel. We will update this article when in-game verification is completed.

One additional note: the widely cited eCOGRA aggregate RTP of 96.78% for Bet365 Casino has no locatable primary source. No eCOGRA monthly report PDF was found. Treat this number as unverified portfolio-weighted data, not a per-slot guarantee.

    Bet365's own exclusive titles

Bet365 also publishes its own exclusive titles through in-house development. SlotCatalog lists these at fixed, single-tier RTPs: Gates of Bet365 at 96.5%, 8 Immortals at 96.53%, Alcatraz at 96.13%, Bust a Vault at 96%, and Book of Horus at 94.91%. The fact that Bet365 launched Book of Horus below 95% on its own IP tells you something about the direction of travel.

The UK's last consensus safe harbour for RTP-conscious players is no longer safe to assume. Check in-game. Trust nothing published by affiliates without verification. And if you find a Bet365 in-game RTP that contradicts this article, send it to us — we will publish it.
